• You speak one language, and even that one barely works for you… You try to guide someone, yet you send them down a one‑way street. You try to buy time, but that doesn’t really work either. It’s always something.

Tripping over your own steps becomes your “normal” way of moving? Take a breath… look around you… then start again, calmly. Maybe that morning birdsong you keep ignoring will finally bring you the balance you need — so things can flow the way they should.

Very good… or as the French would say, très bien.

It doesn’t always have to be perfect, nor does perfection need to be the measure of progress. Sometimes “very good” is a perfectly fine grade — a direction that keeps the right distance and a believable statistic where you’re always above the surface.

Because being Ronaldo, roasting a lamb big enough to feed half of Ljubljana, while waiting for someone else to prepare it? That’s a kind of math only you might understand.

Try because you know. Or quit because you don’t. You’ve got two options. Both are fine… but one thing is certain:

    Keep going. C’est la vie.

Did I take off? No, I didn’t. I just questioned myself deeply… felt the rhythm and the habits while others were still asleep.

That will always be my reminder. Because discipline doesn’t arrive on its own — it’s built slowly, step by step. And when you finally reach it…

Then you know you’ve reached the top. 💪🔥

  •  Being an architect — in every sense of the word — is a serious undertaking that lasts for years.

An architect of your own life, where every moment and every move matters, and each one determines the direction you’re heading.

Once upon a time it was different… and now it’s just something we remember.

Today, our eating habits have changed drastically. Everything has to be instant, right here and right now, because everything is available. There are as many bakeries as betting shops, and real home‑cooked meals have been replaced by fast‑food producers. A lunch you plan to cook every day has to be carefully thought out because of the high prices of groceries and energy — and I won’t even start on shift work… You really have to be a little architect and plan everything so you always have something ready, something you can quickly finish when you finally manage to get home.

It’s not just that people “don’t have time”… The real issue is organization and discipline.

And does it even matter to you whether you have a cooked meal every day? Of course, if you have the money, you’ll eat out and that’s the end of the story. The kitchen stays clean, you gain free time for something else — and I fully support that too. It’s not like people who can afford to eat out and enjoy good food are any less organized or whatever…

    But still!

    Seriously?

Being a little architect in the kitchen — inventing, recycling food — can be a fun and creative way of expressing yourself. You might easily discover how resourceful and imaginative you are, and sometimes it’s the simplest way to reach the hearts of the people you love. They will recognize your effort, and you’ll use everything you have — and most importantly, you won’t throw anything away.

We all get carried away in the store and buy what we need… and what we don’t. That’s why the saying exists: “A smart person writes it down, a foolish one tries to remember.” A shopping list is the best solution. And if you decide to add something extra — fine. It’s cheap, you take it, and later figure out what to cook with it.

    Who cares?

The way to make your kitchen life easier is simple — you have to know how to recycle food. From something someone else would throw away, I could always cook something!

So why buy and buy without a plan of what and when you’ll cook?

It doesn’t have to be professional or fancy. Cook what you like, the way you like it — that’s already a big step.

Designer, visually appealing food is tempting today, and it’s true that we always eat with our eyes first, then smell, then taste. But a lot of today’s food only has that first part — the look. And that’s the whole point: they take your money, and you’re not even that happy.

hat’s why cooking for your loved ones carries a special warmth. It’s love you can give. Because, as they’ve always said — love goes through the stomach. And share that love, no matter how skilled you are in the kitchen. The person next to you will appreciate it ❤️

So let’s be the architects of our own lives, and let love continue to travel through the stomach.

     Peace.😘 ✌

  • When are you truly ready to go all the way and put everything on the line? To make a move when you’re holding only two cards that determine the flow of the game, while the rest are still face‑down?

Preparation is half the job — we’ve known that forever. The predisposition to take a step forward, to be ready, was never something you could skip. When you’re in — you’re in. Sometimes you have to play even with bad cards. Waiting for the right moment to achieve or create something is hard to plan, because so many factors can ruin your plan.

That’s why you sometimes adapt. You plan it all out, but the game and its dynamics complicate everything. Great conditions, great energy, everything perfect… but it’s not the right time. And unfortunately — you fold.

Poker! Oh yes. A game where you must be an actor, a player, a tactician — everything at once. And the luck factor… that’s what needs to push you at least a little, because everything we listed before sometimes doesn’t matter. As they say — better to be born lucky.

Without luck — there’s nothing! That’s how life works. Training self‑control in real‑life situations requires a lot of skill and a good feeling for the moment. You have to sense when to go for it, when to give everything.

Adrenaline can be a nasty thing… it carries you away, you’re sure of your move… and then — a soft crash landing.
    Everything falls apart.
Suddenly sadness appears, disappointment… you realize it wasn’t the right card.

You’re angry at yourself and at everything… but why? When you look at it — it’s just a game. Right?

You’re supposed to enjoy yourself. Sometimes you lose, and it’s not the end of the world. The real problem is only if you lose yourself because of it. It’s not even a problem if you fall — the problem is if you don’t get back up.

And to be good in such a game — let’s say solid — you sometimes need to know when to let go, or simply fold. Having a “bad trip” now and then is nothing unusual; it happens to everyone. Riding through it and pulling out something good — that’s courage, wisdom, skill.

The reward is the experience you gain. And in the end, when you’re all‑in, you’ll know who’s truly with you. So go bravely to the end… maybe, at the end of the story, the cards in your hand will be the ones that win it all. You never know! 😘😎

  • Level pro! Uuuuuu, that’s a serious topic… a discipline I started practicing a long time ago.

Why and for what? Well, it simply stands out! It gets kind of interesting… everything around you starts to change. Everyone sometimes wants to be Ronaldo… there’s polenta, corn mush or žganci, the broth is simmering… shock on the face because we still don’t get it — how? What’s the trick?

Well, practice… train… walk… add… because sometimes it’s even hard to stay focused, right?

Do you even know which colors you like to see? You like the warm ones, you know! There are also the cold ones. What’s the feeling when you finally find out which ones they are? Ahaaaa… those ones… and you’re still here, and I still can’t quite catch them.

Prompting! That’s something that was always kind of… really kind of good… when you can’t be yourself, but you have to do everything by the program. Like a robot. Because that’s what’s expected.

What’s the feeling when you finally find out which ones they are? Ahaaaa… those ones… and you’re still here, and I still can’t quite catch them. No problem — here, I’ll change everything. One remark and I change immediately. I simply have to stay within the expected frame, otherwise it’s not good and it’s not understood.

They say: it’s going to rain! Well isn’t that rain enough already! 😂

Level pro!!! Sounds like you’re about to buy a new phone and you’re like — it’s not the regular one, it’s the Pro! I’ll add a few more euros just so it has that “Pro”! It doesn’t really work like that.

To be pro, you have to practice consistently, and work consistently. It doesn’t work… it’s not fruit… or Warcraft. You can be bad or, let’s say, good, but even if you lose — nothing significant will change in your life or career.

In real time — well there you don’t have much time. The sand is running, there’s less and less of it, and when you take a hit, it takes time to make up for where you stumbled.

Let’s be clear — these are pure examples from my life, because I see some people trying again, I don’t know which time, to explain to me what I’m writing about, while they themselves don’t know where they’re going. Or at least pretend they don’t know. We still have to figure that out. 😂👌

The message of the day has always been: take only the worst from those close to you. Never give them a compliment, a good word, because that costs too! Prepare the R1 invoice, make sure everything is within the rules and of course normal, because otherwise God forbid, right! And before everything, go to mass, so everything is okay, because that’s the only correct way.

We who grew up in the church — we’ll move out of everyone’s way, because no one has anything to ask us anyway.

I wanted to be pro! Pro, but iss pro evaluation… Of everything — just that second part. 🤔

Jokes aside — two‑ply toilet paper is good too, it doesn’t have to be three‑ply. Your butt won’t notice anyway. At the end of the day — that’s not important either.

The only important thing is that you bought yourself a new phone and that it’s Pro.

    And for everything else… right?

  • Nature… a place where a person can truly be reborn.

Everything it offers is pure, genuine warmth — a warmth that embraces the heart and never lets go, but only for those who give themselves to it honestly and truthfully, and connect with it. It gives you everything, yet it also asks that you return at least something.

Feeling nature in a different way isn’t complicated. It’s enough to breathe with her, and you’re already gaining something — a gain that can bring you peace and freedom.

And then comes the question: why does a human sometimes consciously destroy that same nature?

In her, you are neither hungry nor thirsty — you have everything you need to live. You can feed yourself, you can warm yourself. But will she always be here, or will she slowly disappear?

It’s a question I sometimes want to run away from, because — to be honest — I wouldn’t want her to vanish someday… or simply fall silent. Living in harmony with her gives us a better life, cleaner air… doesn’t it?

Leaving a better life for everyone should be the main and only motto that pushes us toward our goals.

One thing has become clear to me… I want to live in coexistence with her.

I know that every breath I take with her gives me exactly what I need… gives me everything.

After everything I’ve lived through, I gladly return to her — and that’s how it will stay until the end.

    Because… who am I?

Everyone should ask themselves: who are you without the mask?

Be what you are… create what you feel… and live for what you are ready to die for.

  • My heart is beating hard… for now, everything is unfolding just the way it feels it should. There aren’t many calculations here — the feelings speak for themselves. We should all be careful, but life isn’t always lived that way. Sometimes you don’t even need a lighter for a fire to start. One spark is enough, and with a bit of luck, the wind will take care of the rest.

What hurts the most is how everything passes… but in the right story, that doesn’t matter — not in friendship, not in love. Sometimes I wish certain feelings could last forever, but that takes effort. Doesn’t it.

And in the background, there’s always that one-way street none of us is thrilled about, yet we still dive into it from time to time. How do you get out? Unfortunately — you don’t. You reach the end, and then it’s on you.

Is time on our side… will we finally feel that this is the right street, or have we wandered off again?

Either way, I’ll try to get to know her too… maybe her flaws aren’t impossible to cross. Something in me keeps saying: go — this time it might finally turn out the way it should. You know how they say: the one who doesn’t want to will find an excuse, and the one who tries — that one will always find a way.

  • Having a stance has always been one of the truest steps a person can take.

For some people — they have integrity, for others — they don’t. There’s a lot that could be said about that.

From my perspective, I have it. I’ve made mistakes, but none of them are unforgivable.

In my case, they are transparent, and I could talk about them publicly without any tension.

Does it bother me? It does. When I look back, I clearly see where I’ve been and what I’ve been through.”

As the old saying goes: first clean in front of your own doorstep before you talk about others.

Honestly, I no longer have the time or the will to tell others what they should do. In the end — why would I, when they don’t have the time to listen, let alone read what I write. It’s not that I’m angry or anything like that…just being real.

Let’s be honest — knowledge, inspiration, and ideas, I have always shared without compromise.

And no one ever said thank you. Why? You’d have to ask the people who received everything from me.

The desire to succeed  pushed me through my whole life… sometimes even as a burden, because I always had to give more of myself to rise above the crowd and prove.

That energy still drives me today, even as an adult man.

And after some years, it’s not that there are no challenges — it’s just that I’m tired of empty places and empty stories. I want things to have meaning.

Sometimes it all saddens me and pushes me to the bottom of the emotional ladder, where I feel empty and like nothing.

But everyone has days like that, and sometimes I just say: it’s not my day.

You’re missing that something that fills you up… my feet have walked strange paths… the roads were sometimes full of holes, but today — after this period in which I got to know myself even better and started listening more to my inner voice (which is more or less always right) —

I know where those same feet need to take me when everything sweeps me away.

Nature and society — once a school subject, today applied in life — and it somehow turned out to be my favorite again. Peace, listening to nature, the murmur of a stream, birdsong… and at the sea, my favorite wind — the Bura.

I love it… I love it because it has character.

You can feel it, and it clears everything. With her, you always know where you stand!

And for someone who learned to live without money in childhood… it’s not hard even today.

  •

Every now and then, this moment comes around… not only for chefs, but for anyone who sees themselves in these lines. You’ll understand quickly what I mean. Life on the edge — one moment you’re up, the next you’re down. There’s no real constant. It’s always a battle, always unpredictable. Why? How should I know… it just falls into place that way. Every opportunity in life deserves some kind of gratitude. Maybe that’s the dance we don’t even notice, we just go with the flow.

Things are always best when they happen naturally, not by force — you can feel the difference. Letting demoralization take over is not an option.

You can’t allow yourself to be pulled down, because the first month of the year is more or less always the same for me.

So we’ll use it to create something meaningful, to warm up this cold season with the kind of energy that circles close to the heart. Life is beautiful.

Yes, there are obstacles, but once you jump over them, you realize you’re still breathing and your head is still above water.

It didn’t drown you — it taught you. Another lesson added. The dance continues… and in that dance, emotion is everything.

Why silence it? Let it warm us and help us grow, because at the end of the day, even the smallest steps matter. Don’t they.

The level of motivation suddenly shot up… and good — that’s what we’ve been waiting for. Now is the time to press our footprints deeper into the path of life. Because when you’re ready, nothing can truly surprise you anymore.

  • Sometimes I don’t understand what the point of all this is. Honestly, anyone can write whatever they want to impress others and seem competitive. But you can only be accepted professionally if you present yourself as you truly are – and that often isn’t allowed, because people will look at you strangely and ignore you if you’re not “interesting”.

To be competitive on the job market – which in my opinion barely even exists today – you have to deal with the fact that many workplaces are run by people who are not properly educated or simply don’t love their job. Unfortunately, those who are the opposite, but aren’t “suitable”, often get shut down.

We ask ourselves whether restaurants need skilled people. In real life, often they don’t – because they only want good numbers and the lowest possible costs. Today everything is ordered in, and hardly anyone makes anything homemade – from dough to desserts – even though that’s exactly what gives food its value and soul. It’s faster, it’s standardized – but in the long run, it makes no sense.

I haven’t bought store‑bought bread in years. And I can knead any kind of bread you want, whenever you want. I’m still learning, education never ends – I’m exploring myself. While some people work in restaurants and see them as a private ATM from which they take their salary at the end of the month, I believe that’s not the right path.

The days of store‑bought pasta or bread are over. Everything has become more expensive, and to justify the price, you have to roll up your sleeves and make a lot of things yourself. Only then do you build yourself, the people around you, and the restaurant or company you work in.

I would rather say: “Sorry, we’re out of that” than make something that makes no sense, just so it’s ready immediately. That leads nowhere.

The problem is the suppression of people who have desire and drive. They’re creative, but they’re constantly being shut down and suffocated.

In my case, that’s no longer an option.

They say: “He drinks, he has a problem.” To everyone I’ve worked for, I can say just one thing – I don’t have a problem. And that’s no longer an option.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I’m grateful for these emotions because they push me toward a new journey. I just hope that this time I won’t end up in a ravine, but where I truly belong.

    Cooking text and photo

  • I see clearly. The reflection isn’t distorted, nor would I ever want it to be.
I didn’t allow emptiness to influence my writing, so for a while I simply stopped.
A new chapter begins — another new year in which I wish for an even more beautiful and clearer reflection in the mirror, or better said, in life. I don’t have any big wishes, to be honest.

I have my goals, and I believe that, as always, I will reach them.
I know it won’t be easy, but the harder I push — the more I’ll get back.
In the end, whatever you give of yourself, that’s what returns to you. Isn’t that right.

This year I want changes and to create even more than before. The love is the same, only the approach needs to be better — just like I do. That’s what I wish for everyone: to achieve what you’ve set for yourselves.

Success is never guaranteed, and we all know that. But with the right approach and everyday effort, a lot can be done and changed. To grow, but also to fall — because sometimes that’s necessary to remind us that nothing in life goes smoothly or without obstacles. They trip us up only so we can make that one more step forward — for ourselves, and for the people around us.
